Violent Definition - Progressive Obsoletion
Release Date: November 11th, 2024
I Hate Records / Bestial Invasion Records
Violent Definition are a thrash metal band from Athens, Greece. "Progressive Obsoletion" is their second release of maddening aggressive metal. On this album they have honed their skill as musicians and crafted and wonderfully angry album. Very refined in its delivery, Violent Definition take inspiration from the classic 80's greats and injects modernity exquisitely. The music punches hard and doesn't lose itself in stagnant redundancy. Violent Definition have taken the exciting appeal of thrash metal and have built upon it with searing results. Across genres, I appreciate the bands that relive the past a bit while making things their own. You may be inspired to drive fast and fuel quick-tempered emotions while listening to this album. "Progressive Obsoletion" is a well-produced and tight addition to the genre played by adept players who I believe achieved their goal. Normally I don't comment on artwork too much. I really should since I'm a weird one that still purchases vast quantities of physical media. The artwork on this album is an eye-catching creation by Paolo Girardi. Violent Definition encourage beer drinking, moshing, and head-banging for sure. Go and listen to them!
