Vincent Crowley - "Anthology of Horror"
Hammerheart Records
Release Date: 02/23/2024
Genre: Blackend Death Metal
What a great album. Vincent Crowley is the band from the Acheron founder of the same name. Joined by other modern Acheron members
Art Taylor & Eric Stewart, Vincent Crowley have created a solid horror-infused metal ride. Time was spent here cultivating a fun but intelligently
crafted album with an emphasis on well grounded song writing. Throughout Anthology of Horror are plenty opportunities to immerse yourself in head-banging riffs that inspire the inner guitar player in all metal fans. It was stated that Vincent Crowley set out to create music that would appeal to fans of death metal in addition to old-school bands such as Mercyful Fate. I believe they have managed to succeed in their mission. Anthology of Horror is a wickedly-enjoyable journey for fans of the new and old styles of metal. Accessibility is perhaps a focus on this album. Listeners that are fans of music in general can easily latch onto the memorable music that Vincent Crowley makes. This is not to say that they have written music that isn't clever or imaginative. They have reminded us that music can be an entertaining and gratifying experience.
