Tumulation comes on like an ugly beast slowly maneuvering into view of its prey until it unleashes a deadly fury. All songs on Haunted Funeral Creations retain their own interesting ideas flowing between slow lumbering parts to speedier sections. There are no ideas that linger too long without resolving into something just as absorbing. I realize every one can draw comparisons in music that others may not agree with. Tumulation for me can stand stylistically along side such modern greats as Hooded Menace, Based on my interest in doom metal and old-school sounding death metal I can attest to the greatness of Haunted Funeral Creations. This band consists of members from Conjureth who interestingly changed instruments to explore their desire to create a classic Doom/Death metal album. They have succeeded in producing an album that may be one of my favorites this year. Haunted Funeral Creations will be out in August 2023 on Hammerheart records!
