There needed to be a reminder of Norwegian black metal's dangerous past. With this album they have made a pronouncement of what black metal means in the depths of sinful souls. Highly recommended for fans of abrasive and menacingly wicked music.
Steinras is a band comprised of Steinar Aven on guitars and Arne Gandrud on drums. To finish off the lineup they chose to utilize a rather large amount of guests. Among the many listed a few band names that the guests have come from stand out to me. These include Tsjuder, Taake, Myrkskog, and Gehenna. I can stand conclusively with the quality of this album. I grew up listening to all the greats of their scene. Steinras is Norwegian black metal in its purest form. Support it!
