Metal Charm - Visions Of Escape

Metal Charm is from Izmir, Turkey and got their start in 2022. After their inception they crafted Metal Charm's initial release, "Kaleidistopik". Surprisingly, this was completed over a two month time span. Come 2023 after a release of their single, "We Will Nothing Remains", they set out to play many dates within various cities in Turkey. Now in 2025 they are set to release their 2nd album, "Visions Of Escape", after a year of hard work writing and recording it. Metal Charm's sound on this newest release is an ode to classic melodic death metal. Mid-paced in their delivery, their sound leaves room for everything to breathe. Instead of the chaos that can come with extreme metal they chose to focus rather on quality writing over extremity. Well constructed and performed, Metal Charm has class and a confident articulation in what they set out to do. I can attest to the excellence of this band coming from a long history of admiration for the genre. "Visions Of Escape" brings back memories for me of the excitement I felt 25+ years ago when all this was new to me. Perhaps comparisons can be drawn even to classic 1990's Swedish melodic death metal here. Everything you could want from this style is present. The catchiness of their sound is complimented by strong vocals and the well placed and tasteful guitar solo. My only complaint is the length of the album at 30:06. I think there is much more that the band could have offered. I am happy with what I received though.
