Curtail Not Your Yearnings
By
DJ Tyrer
The Tatterdemalion moved ethereally
Across the tesseracted sands of the sun-abandoned shore
Saying "Curtail not your yearnings
For unprincipled morality lest you surrender
To the inevitable fabulosity of life."
I turned away, confused and weary
Seeking, forever seeking,
Seeking for my True Love.
Her fate to me remained unknown
As I walked along alone.
Perhaps in that distant city of light
From which the Tatterdemalion came
That distant city of light
Of dark and dreary fame
That distant city of light
Of the unspeakable name
Perhaps in that distant city of light
Beyond the cloud-filled sea
Beyond the undeliminated boundaries
Of the inconstant world
Perhaps in that distant city of light
My True Love yet remained
In that city that remains unnamed.
