Boneripper - World Ablaze
Release Date: May 24th
Independently Released
Boneripper are a hardcore band from the Netherlands that have obvious metal influences. Imbued with anger, "World Ablaze" is permeated with socially conscience aggression. Boneripper is firm in their metallic stance and steadfast in their approach to hardcore music. The crowd-chanting inspired breakdowns that hardcore is known for are woven well into almost thrash oriented guitar work here. This band is very much forthcoming with their intentions and deliver nothing but what you'd expect from the genre. Boneripper are not out to reinvent the style they play but join it in a well constructed version to call their own. I am not too familiar with hardcore beyond Sick Of It All, Madball and Agnostic Front among a few others but I believe Boneripper are the real deal. There is a conviction in their sound that doesn't sound contrived.
"World Ablaze" is their first full length after their debut e.p., "Vengeance and Forgiveness". The band comes from such other bands as Manu Armata, 13Steps and Bladecrusher. This album hopes to take the trials that face humanity, and offer inspiration to pull through to find a better version of ourselves. I can appreciate that. Go Listen!
