"Echoes: Vanished Lore of Fire" is the new album by Beyrevra, a German melodic black/death metal band. Personally speaking, strong melodies
have always drawn me to music. This is especially true in metal where I believe substance can sometimes be lost among the chaos. Beyrevra have created a very melodic enjoyable album. Each idea flows well into the next to create a vibrant and interesting listen. Speedy passages are interwoven with slower immersible ideas to create a varied approach to their melodic death metal style. Beyrevra reminds me of all the wonderful melodic death metal that was new and exciting in the early to mid 1990's. "Echoes: Vanished Lore of Fire" is a very well built album throughout. They know their direction as a band and have achieved what I believe they set out to do. Appealing and memorable, Beyrevra are an entertaining addition to a genre of metal I already enjoy.
