Sacri Suoni - Time to Harvest
Release Date: January 23rd, 2026
Electric Valley Records
Sacri Suoni is an instrumental doom/sludge band that formed from their previous project Stoned Monkey. The band previously released a debut album, "Sacred Is Not Divine" on Zann's Records in 2023. With this offering they went onto share the stage with such notable bands as, "Messa, Acid Mammoth, Epitaph, Dopethrone, Ponte del Diavolo, and 1782". Now in 2026 the band will release their second album, "Time to Harvest". With this album they state that it, "thrives on contrasts: sounds that are immense and powerful, crushing and overwhelming, coexist with passages that are as light as feathers, suspended, intimate, almost fragile."
Slowly entrenching itself into being, the album comes into awareness with, "Plow The Void". Subtle guitars conjure an emotional start leading into distorted walls of somberness. Moving slowly with a flow of diverse changes, they offer both beauty and menacingly heavy contrasts. "Soothe" digs deep into bleak earthy substances before lashing out with tempo changes both energetic and sorrowfully powerful. Emerging eventually from desolation, the song creates a stunningly seductive ending as a welcomed release. The shortest song on the album, "Dissolve To Reunite in Varanasi" is conceived in a opaque vastness thick with contorted immensity. Relentlessly challenging the listener with crawling melancholic massiveness. Sacri Suoni ends the album with, "It Will Crumble Before Us". Beginning with a slow build up creating a feeling of pensive sadness, it turns further inward into distorted self-realized acceptance. Around the 4:48 mark the song strengthens into traditional a stoner genre feel. Conjuring images of deserted plains, portrayals of sweltering days in the sun surrounded by nothing other than vast and vacant landscapes comes to mind. Once lost in hallucinogenic meanderings, the listeners path if found once more in solid heavy footing to close the song out. The heavy guitars providing a focal point to regain full awareness.
